You guys should def check it out. I'm going to read it from beginning to the end because I think it's one of the best poker blogs out there even though it is about 2 years old. He talks about concepts that I have only begun to understand or don't even think about.

i have started to read your blog. You play at the same levels as me.I am not a winning player at the moment, but am trying to fix this problem.
I have learnt from your blog, that i need to have more foresight and plan ahead.
I think i will devise a similar plan to yours.I will deposit around $1k at the end of january.play 4 tables at $50nlh.then i will move upto $100nl when my bank roll reaches $2k.
However i dont think i will be able to resist taking shots at $100 before i get to 2k.I will just have to discipline myself to just try 1 or 2 buyins.
Previously io have had bankrolls of 3k plus several times.Played $200 nlh, tilted and lost within a couple of days.

thanks for the kind comments. It's cool that others can learn from my mistakes, hand histories and blogging.
As for BR Strategy, I would suggest 20-40 buy ins as a recreational player depending on if you tilt if you go on a 3-5 buyin downswing.
These 3-5 buy in downswings are quite common so I wouldn't recommend 1-2 buyin shots. You will be playing scared if you only allow yourself that many buyins.
I would suggest a 3-5 buy in shot and give yourself a real chance to make it at the next level. Play your A game and the same style that got you there. It's basically the same game, however the competition will be better and more aggressive. Adjust slowly and work hard, the results will eventually be there.
CTS blog link = gold. Gonna read it from the start too. Thanks
