Strong Check Raise on the flop vs floater

$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem

UTG+1
($73.85)
Hero
($150.55)
BTN
($31.00)
SB
($50.00)
BB
($29.75)

Pre-flop: ($0.75, 6 players) Hero is CO

2 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, BTN calls $1.75, 2 folds

Standard raise preflop on CO. BTN calls and both blinds fold. BTN seemed very loose passive preflop. I felt he was floating alot on me in position and would try to outplay me post flop with his 1/2 stack.

Flop: ($4.25, 2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $4.25, Hero goes all-in $148.8, BTN calls $25

I check intending to raise all in. I sometimes check/fold on draw heavy flops so I try to balance it out by check/raising with big hands/draws. I just check/shoved because he only had $25 left and felt he had to fold a lot of his hands he would do this with (overs, bottom pairs, mid pairs, flush draws, and bluffs) He called and we were basically flipping for $60.

Turn: ($182.3, 2 players)

River: ($182.3, 2 players)

Final Pot: $62.75
Hero shows:
BTN shows:

Hero wins $119.55 ( lost -$31 )
BTN wins $59.75 ( won +$28.75 )

Why did you raise so much on that turn? Curious on your thoughts on the bet sizing there.
